Brief history and background
of CREDAI-BANM and Advantages of the Membership

Preamble:

  • The CREDAI-BANM is the pioneer institution of Promoters and Developers from Navi Mumbai and Raigad Region established in 2002.
  • It is serving for more than 23 years and has been at the forefront in promoting the Construction Industry as a profession.
  • It has a strong membership of 300 plus Promoters and Developers which accounts for about 70% of the construction activities in Navi Mumbai (Raigad Region) and discharges corporate social responsibilities directly and through its members.
  • CREDAI-BANM is registered under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 and under Society Act 1860 and registered with Charity Commissioner Navi Mumbai.

Management:

  • The Association is headed by the President, two Vice Presidents, Hon. Secretary, two Jt. Hon. Secretary, and Hon. Treasurer and two Jt. Hon. Treasurers. The Immediate Past President is an ex-officio member of the Managing Committee. In order to support the Office Bearers there is a Managing committee consisting of 12 members who are also elected by the Members. In addition to that there are four co-opted members along with one Youth wing member.
  • There is Trustee Board of three Past Presidents to Advise the Managing Committee, especially in matters of finance, ethics, legal compliance, and long-term planning.
  • It has few Expert Committees in the areas of Taxation, Finance, Government Liaisoning, City Greening, Environment, Exhibition organizing, Website Development, Training and knowledge sharing etc.
  • Each Vice President is allotted specific sub committees to guide, advice, and monitor and to follow up the respective sub committee matters. In turn the Vice Presidents report to the President.
  • In order to closely interact with the members guide, advise or meet if meetings are required WhatsApp up interaction group has been formed.
  • The Managing Committee Meets every month regularly to discuss various issues affecting the construction sector.
  • The General Body Meetings are held quarterly but many a times a Spl. General Body meetings are also called to discuss specific and important issues.
  • It has been a unique that all the communications of Managing Committees are through the e-mails, WhatsApp interaction group and circulars relating to the important subjects of our industry are posted on websites of the Association.
  • Similarly in case of General Body Meetings all the Agenda notices and Minutes are sent to the members through email and through WhatsApp group.
  • The MahaRERA authorities require all real estate projects to be granted a membership to enable full compliance of the act.
  • Purpose of this membership is to educate, guide and help in compliances as required by RERA Act and the relevant rules and orders.
  • The Project Membership will be for individual firm for a particular Project and is introduced herewith under the following terms and conditions:
  • – RERA Project Membership is valid till the date of completion of the project.
  • – Membership fee under this category will be Rs. 5000/-Plus applicable GST or as may be approved by the General Body from time to time.
  • This membership does not grant the company any privileges as an Ordinary and Associate membership and does not carry any voting rights etc.
  • The developer company /project will not be permitted to carry a CREDAI – Navi Mumbai logo.
  • Any noncompliance under RERA will invoke an immediate suspension of this membership.

CREDAI-BANM Membership:

The process of admission to membership is stringent and carried out carefully as per the guidelines issued by the Managing Committee from time to time. There is a prescribed form for making an application. Every member is issued an Annual Membership Certificate. It is obligatory for the member to use the CREDAI-BANM logo in all their advertisement communications.

Code of Conduct:

The member of the CREDAI-BANM has to observe the Code of Conduct issued which will bring transparency. If the member does not observe it, he has to face disciplinary action.

Important Activities

Property Exhibitions:

CREDAI-BANM organizes Annual Mega Property exhibitions to showcase projects of its members and it has become a trusted exhibition for the last twenty-three years and there has been an overwhelming response because of the brand.

Website:

CREDAI-BANM has developed its own website where members participate in exhibiting their projects. Other information regarding circulars, govt. notifications, orders, event details, and meetings are available on the website.

Study Tours:

CREDAI-BANM organizes study tours to study new technology, methodology, designs and innovations in the construction industry locally, nationally, and internationally.

Seminars:

Similarly, to update the members on technology, marketing strategies, taxation, and finance — seminars/training programs are organized every year by inviting experts internally and from outside.

Representation and Interaction
with Government Agencies
and Corporate Social responsibilities.

CREDAI-BANM closely works with Government and Semi-Government agencies and takes initiative in policy formation. CREDAI-BANM discharges various Corporate Social Responsibilities. It undertakes health Checkup camps, crèches, Immunization Program, Doorstep schools etc. for the welfare of the labourers on site.

In order to keep our members updated and to closely interact with them, information is sent to them about the notifications, OMs, Govt. circulars and other related issues.

Administrative set up and operative system:

The office functions under the administration of Hon. Secretary and Jt. Hon. Secretary. The Secretariats is headed by the Admin Executive who is supported by the staff of Accountant, Office Assistant and Peon to carry out and implement all the above activities of the Association.
